Logging mileage
Are you paid with a 1099-Misc? If yes, than you probably already know that you are considered self employed in regards for that particular work. Mileage driven to perform that work is a deductible expense on the schedule C of the tax return. This is one of the most scrutinized (audited) deductions by the IRS.
